Ugh!

Why did we have to have "No Child Left Behind"?? Half the kids in school don't want to be here, so they distract people that actually want to learn. If you don't want to do anything with your life, you should be able to leave and fufill your worthless dreams. Someone's gotta flip burgers, I guess.

la la la..

I guess one thing a blogger should talk about is music. Well, I like pretty much any kind of music, except for very hardcore screamo rock. I mostly listen to whatever is on the radio here. I also like bands like the Beatles, Nirvana, Queen, Journey, and AC/DC. Yes, they're old bands, but they play actual music with intelligible lyrics instead of putting bragging about sex and money while talking to a beat. The links attached to the band names are my favorite songs by the band.

Anyways..... Today, we're watching Planet Hulk for contemporary lit. It's a cartoon, but its pretty cool. This is what our days mostly consist of along side reading x-men and x-factor, and I'm definitely not complaining.

What?

Hmm.... What to talk about? Well, of course, someone like me could rant about the unfairness of high school and the problems that come with teen angst. But, no, I just don't feel like it. This past week, we were talking about the x-men, and we talked about their powers. Then we watched this video, which is pretty hilarious, and it shows why only the mutants get powers.

I started reading another Ellen Hopkins book, and it's pretty twisted, as are the rest of her books. This one is called "Glass", and is the sequal to the book "Crank". It's about a girl that goes to Albuquerque to spend the summer with her dad. While there, she meets Adam, who introduces her to cocaine. When she comes home, she's addicted and needs to find her fix. Then she runs into Robyn, an older sister of a friend, who shows her how to smoke meth. Throughout the story, you read about Kristina's struggle with boys, meth, and her new identity known as "Bree". In order to find out what happens in "Glass", you gotta read "Crank". It's an extremely twisted story line, but it's one thats easy to get sucked into.

Seriously.

Not a drill. So much pun

Madness?

This right here is one of the funniest things I've read in a while. It may be old, but I really don't care. It's hilarious. And it makes a good point to an extent. This is...... :D

Ya know what I just love?

Going to school, even though you're so stopped up, you can't hear anything. And the whole room is spinning. And yet, through the sickness, you continue to blog for your contemporary literature class. :p.

<<<< how I feel right now.

Wonderful. Juuuust wonderful.

This is quite possibly the best thing ever. :)
Why is it the best thing ever? Because. It just is.

Also, this is one of my favorite websites, becase I use it to procrastinate.
This site is for a good cause.

Oh, Christina..

"What did you put?..Danville Kentucky?..Okay, I'll put that too, but if I get raped I'm blaming you."

This is just one of many wonderfully strange things my friend Christina says. Currently, she's singing with most of the lyrics being "somethin, somethin, somethin, etc." She's been my friend since I moved to this..how shall I say it?... not so wonderful town, which was before my 4th grade year. I'm not sure how our friendship works out because I'm a gutter-minded, chilled out yet highwired person, while she wears skinny jeans everyday, is always making over 9000 jokes, and is on 1000000000000% energy 24/7. I guess when they say opposites attract, they mean in friendships too.
